Shenzhen Topway Expands Market with Advanced Racing Drone Battery Innovations

Shenzhen Topway New Energy has unveiled its latest innovations in battery technology for racing drones, emphasizing enhanced power delivery, lightweight design, and increased durability for both competitive and industrial drone uses. The firm has crafted a high-discharge lithium cell formula aimed at reducing internal resistance and boosting ion transport efficiency. Their 1300mAh 6S battery pack is capable of delivering continuous discharge currents exceeding 130A, ensuring stable power output even under demanding flight conditions, while also minimizing voltage drop.

Topway has implemented a manufacturing process for low-resistance electrodes to improve conductivity and reduce heat generation. This technology is designed to optimize flight efficiency, prolong battery life, and ensure consistent performance during extended high-load operations such as drone racing and aerial videography. The batteries are encased in ultra-thin aluminum-laminated packaging with a reinforced structural design, enhancing impact resistance without adding unnecessary weight. This approach improves the power-to-weight ratio and boosts durability for outdoor usage.

An integrated battery management system is featured in these battery packs, offering active cell balancing and safeguarding against electrical faults such as overcharging, over-discharging, and short circuits. The system is also designed to support fast charging, contributing to an extended battery lifespan. According to Topway, their battery packs can retain over 80% of their original capacity after more than 300 charge cycles, and they are engineered to function in environments with temperatures reaching up to 60°C.

The typical 14.8V 1300mAh lithium polymer battery weighs under 175 grams and can handle burst discharge currents exceeding 200A for brief periods. Topway assures that its products meet several international standards, including UL, CE, RoHS, IEC62133, and IEC62619. Furthermore, their manufacturing processes have been certified under the ISO 9001:2015 standard, underscoring their commitment to quality and reliability.
