Rhombus has introduced the DC10 Single-Door Controller, a compact, cloud-managed solution aimed at delivering enterprise-level access control and sensor connectivity for environments with single doors. This new device connects individual doors directly to Rhombus’s cloud-based platform, providing features like remote door management, lockdown capabilities, and smart sensor connectivity.
Designed for versatility, the DC10’s compact form factor is ideal for installation in offices, retail stores, restaurants, gyms, and isolated entrances where a multi-door controller may not be suitable. The controller is equipped with one wet/dry relay, one dry auxiliary relay, and four supervised or unsupervised inputs, which support functionalities such as request-to-exit and door position monitoring. Its IK08-rated, plenum-mountable design allows it to be installed in tight spaces, including above drop ceilings or near protected doors.
The DC10 supports 90 W PoE++ and PoE passthrough, enabling it to deliver power and connectivity through a single cable, with the added capability of supporting a nearby camera. It also integrates connectivity for Rhombus’s range of environmental, intrusion, and motion sensors, as well as panic buttons, offering a line-of-sight range of up to 100 meters.
Equipped with both Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity, the DC10 ensures continuous cloud access, allowing operators to manage doors remotely without needing an on-site server. This solution is particularly beneficial for smaller or distributed locations, as it simplifies installation and infrastructure requirements, expanding the reach of cloud-based access control to these areas.
