AndaSeat has unveiled the Phantom 4 Series, a line of ergonomic seating designed to accommodate the natural movements that occur during activities such as working, gaming, and reading. Recognizing that people rarely maintain a single sitting position for long periods, the Phantom 4 Series aims to offer consistent support while allowing users to shift positions without constant manual adjustments.
The standout feature of the Phantom 4 Series is its Dynamic Auto-Tracking Lumbar system. Users can customize their lumbar support by selecting from 15 locking positions along a 0–95 mm adjustment range. This system allows the lumbar support to swivel approximately 5 degrees to either side and tilt forward and back by 25 degrees, maintaining contact with the user’s back as their posture changes.
The chair is built with a 55 kg/m³ cold-cure foam seat that provides a stable base, ensuring comfort and support. Both models in the series, the Phantom 4 and Phantom 4 Pro, offer up to 135 degrees of backrest recline and about 15 degrees of rocking motion, enabling users to alter their seating positions intentionally.
Differences between the two models lie in their levels of manual adjustment. The Phantom 4 comes with 2D armrests that can be adjusted forward-back and vertically, an adjustable memory-foam head pillow, and a butterfly tilt mechanism. The Phantom 4 Pro, meanwhile, includes 3D 360-degree rotating armrests, expanded adjustment ranges, and a multi-function tilt mechanism with tilt-lock capabilities.
AndaSeat emphasizes that responsive seating should not restrict every movement but should instead offer a stable foundation that adapts to minor changes in the user’s position. The Phantom 4 Series is designed to balance stability, user-controlled adjustments, and mechanical responsiveness, catering to real-world sitting habits rather than assuming users will maintain a fixed posture throughout their activities.
